To All Those Who Try

To all those who try
To give what they know,
For time flies by
Through winter's snow;
Each heart is with a wish
For things to come,
And what we accomplish
May be of wisdom.

You and I learn
From each others way,
And luck may return
And injustice inveigh;
We have no clues
Where future's going,
Some do diffuse
Without us knowing.

To all those who stand
By what they do,
We must understand
What old is and new;
In a way like before
When days were long,
If a heart's at war
So much can go wrong.
