Winter's Heart

Winter's Heart
It's from winter's heart
Each new northern light,
Starry dreams won't depart
Into the lonesome night;
You and I have dreams:
Sharing peace on this earth,
Though in twilight now seems
All we thought its worth.
It's from winter's night
Those that now carry on,
Moments wrong and right
Till the hours are gone;
The feelings so deep inside
For every little occasion,
Gloomy shadows in hide
Till their rising invasion.
Tomorrow's winter's song
Like clouds of darkish mist,
Into the noon they belong
Until their fume's dismissed;
The hour and minutes go
From here on to all eternity,
The distances of them grow
Until they are once more free.
